Hi, I'm Malika Ahmed. I am a London based photographer. My chosen specialisms are 'Portraiture', 'Nature', 'Still Life', 'Weddings', 'Events', and most recently 'Travel'. I believe that photography had come into my life, when I needed it the most. By taking photographs it had comforted me in many ways, giving me the opportunity to explore and truly be myself.
I have always had a great interest in nature and its existence. Nature itself is powerful. Still life photography represents the details of an object and portraiture provides a beautiful perception and representation of differing identities and peoples; all of this motivates me to produce imagery that is inclusive, insightful and reflective of the subjects.
Life has a profound influence on the way I view and capture the world, through my camera. My photography, mainly explores the essence of beauty in the small things, that are and have become significant to me.
I have recently travelled, photographing the things that I found beautiful. I have created a page, titled, 'TRAVEL PROJECTS' that present my photographs of the places I've been to.
